Kawazu Nanadaru National Park, Izu, Japan
Ono-daru (Axe Falls) sits at the top of the seven falls that make up this national park. Unfortunately, I can’t recommend visiting until spring 2013… a typhoon ravaged the Izu last year and they have just begun the rebuilding efforts.
Along the ring of fire Japan is subject to volcanos, earthquake, tsunami, etc. Mixed with typhoons, brutal summers and harsh winters it is fair to say we stare down the brunt of nature’s wrath.
